Matthew 20:17-28
by Andrés Chinchín
“But it will not be so among you; but whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant” (Matthew 20:26)
The world teaches us that our value depends on our social position and our economic status. However, Jesus gives us the example of a servant, who for his love for the Heavenly Father humbles himself to the point of death on the cross, and thus rescues the sinner.
To think about:
In which area of your life have you preferred to be served rather than to serve?
Allow the Lord to sanctify your life and forge you in his image and likeness.
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for your love and for your sacrifice on the cross. Teach me to live the life of Christ, loving and serving my neighbour.
Amen
