The demographics of India make it an excellent market for the toy industry to target because its population is exceptionally young and large. India is the second most populous country in the world with a population of 1.326 billion in 2020. It has been determined that the population of India will reach 1.4 billion in 2026 (Shen, 2014). India is also a young country without a serious aging problem. The 2020 figures show that with a high birth rate that leaves the average age of its population at 26, people aged 0 to 14 make up 26% of the population, and people between the ages of 25 and 45 make up 41.56% of the population (Mundi, 2020). India’s younger population makes the toy market’s target consumers clearer.
