Acts 8:1-8
By Andres Chinchin
“…and you will be my witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8)
Sometimes we need the Lord to push us out of our comfort zone to do the work that he has called us to do. In Acts 8:1-8, we see the persecution of the church and how the believers had to flee for their lives. However, that was not in vain, since this allowed them to fulfil the commission that Christ himself had entrusted to them.
To think:
In what areas of your life do you feel discouraged?
Perhaps the Lord has brought you up to this moment to carry out his will and divine purpose in you. Let him guide your steps.
Prayer:
Dear Jesus, thank you for the life you have given me and the plans you have for me. Help me to trust you, and give me a willing heart to do your will, with the full certainty that you are in control.
Amen
