1 Samuel 3:1-21

“A third time the Lord called, ‘Samuel!’ And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, ‘Here I am; you called me’” (1 Samuel 3:9).
In these verses we see the calling of Samuel by God. We see that Samuel was a boy who served the high priest; However, God decided to reveal himself through him to his people.
It is sometimes easy to despise that which is small and lowly, but the word of God shows us that he uses the small things in the world to humiliate that which believes itself to be much.
To think:
In what area of your life do you feel small and unable to be used by God?
Maybe that’s where God wants to use you with power.
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for your faithfulness, and for your ability to use redeemed sinners to establish your kingdom. Cleanse me from my evil and my sins and use me with power in your kingdom
