1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“Through this gospel you are saved, if you hold fast to the word that I preached to you. Otherwise, you will have believed in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:2)
In these verses, Paul encourages his readers to hold fast to the gospel they received, since through it they are saved.
Sometimes it is easy to forget about the gospel that we have received from God, and live our lives without it having greater relevance. However, the Lord reminds us that, in order to achieve the salvation of our souls, we must cling to the good news and live as dead to sin and raised in Christ to eternal life.
To think:
Have you forgotten the gospel?
Ask Jesus to renew the flame of his Spirit, strength, and the truth of the gospel in you.
Prayer:
Dear Jesus, thank you for your salvation. Forgive me for the times I’ve strayed to follow my own path. Return me to you and help me hold on to your truth.
