Genesis 21:5-20

“At that moment God opened the eyes of Hagar, and she saw a well of water. Immediately she went to fill the skin and gave the child a drink ”(Genesis 21:19)
Sometimes we think that the Lord has forgotten us and that his promises will not be fulfilled in our lives. However, in these verses we see that God was faithful in fulfilling the promise he made to Abraham to give him an heir, even in spite of his failures, and not only that, but he also preserved his son Ishmael from death in middle of the desert.
To think:
In what area of your life do you feel that the Lord has forgotten about you?
Take some time to meditate on his promises and trust that his purpose will be carried out in your life.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank you for your infinite mercy and your good will towards me. Forgive my failures and help me walk with the assurance that you will fulfill your good purpose in my life.
