Devotional
Matthew 15: 21-28
by Andrés Chinchín

“And she said: Yes, Lord; but even the little dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table” (Matthew 15:27).

In these verses, we see the Canaanite woman who is desperate for her daughter, but Jesus seems distant and disassociated from her pain, and even rejects her by telling her that it is not right to take food from the children and give it to the dogs, but this woman responds in faith and Jesus grants her request.

To think:

It is interesting to think that the woman never asks Jesus to help her daughter, but her (Matthew 15:25). In the same way we can come to Jesus in our need and say, “Jesus, help me!”

Prayer:

Jesus help me!
