Deuteronomy 34:1-12
by Andres Chinchin

The LORD said to him, This is the land that I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, I will give it to your descendants. I have allowed you to see it with your eyes, but you will not go there” (Deuteronomy 34:4).

Moses had led God’s people through the desert, and kept the faith in the midst of many struggles. However, his heart could not pass the last test of faith and obedience, and that is how God did not allow him to enter the promised land, but He did allow Moses to see the fulfillment of the promise that He  had made to his ancestors.

To think:

It is not what we do, nor the degree of importance or ministry that we achieve in our lives that pleases God; but a submissive and obedient heart to his word.

Prayer:

Jesus, thank you that you were obedient to God until the end, allow me to affirm myself in your perfect obedience in faith and thus enter the promised land.

Amen
