Revelation 7:2-17
by Andrés Chinchín

“For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes” (Revelations 7:15).

The beauty of heaven is not earthly paradise, nor peace, nor the absence of pain, but the presence of God as supreme king who puts everything in its precise order, who brings justice, peace, and comfort to his people. God brings a kingdom in which His servants constantly serve Him, and are happy to do so day and night, exercising their gifts and talents for the flourishing of the city’s inhabitants and for the glory of the King.

To think:

How to live in the reality of the kingdom of heaven and earthly paradise here and now?

Prayer:

Thank you Lord for the world that you renew every day, and incorporate it into your heavenly kingdom. Help me to be faithful in my calling and in what you have placed before me for your glory and for the good of my neighbor.

Amen
