Isaiah 25:6-12
by Andrés Chinchín
“And it will be said in that day: Behold, this is our God, we have waited for him, and he will save us; This is the Lord for whom we have waited, we will rejoice and be glad in his salvation” (Isaiah 25:9).
If we could save ourselves, what glory would there be in that? And if we could free ourselves from our oppression and sin, then we would not need a saviour. However, it is in silently waiting on God and in His power to free us from all our afflictions, where we find peace, joy, and the reasons to worship Him, because what was impossible for man is possible for God.
To think:
In what areas do you see that injustice has prevailed, and that God has remained distant?
Be patient and take heart, for in his time the Lord will save and judge each person according to what his works deserve.
Prayer:
Lord, thank you that you are always in control. Let me remain faithful to you in hope, knowing that in the future you will work for the good of your people and those who love you.
Amen
