1 Samuel 17:32-51

“All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s” (1 Samuel 17:47).
In these verses we see David facing the giant Goliath, defeating him with just five stones and a slingshot. However, we know that it was not his own skill but God’s will to deliver his people.
To think:
The Lord calls us to prepare and be faithful in the little, just as David was with his sling taking care of his sheep, because we do not know when the Lord can use our abilities in greater things.
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for your faithfulness and love towards us. Help us to be faithful in a little so that you can use us in the much.
