Isaiah 50:4-9
by Andrés Chinchín

“But the Lord God is my help, that’s why I didn’t feel the insults; Therefore I hardened my face like a stone, knowing that I would not be disappointed” (Isaiah 50:7)

During Holy Week, we remember the suffering and sacrifice of Christ on the cross. However, these verses remind us of God’s complete plan for the glorification and redemption of Jesus. He knew that all his suffering would not be in vain, and that, at the right time, his immolation would be transformed into glory for all to see.

To think:

In what area of your life do you feel defeated? This could be the place where God is preparing victory for you through his love and great power.

Prayer:

Lord, help me to wait patiently in the midst of suffering and difficult moments, trusting that in the right time you will raise me up victorious through your love and mercy.

Amen
