John 6:35-40

For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day”(John 6:40)
These verses are a call to leave behind a life of spiritual hunger and thirst, and to be satisfied by the presence of Christ Himself in our lives. Jesus shows us here the mystery of salvation, but also the heart of God the Father, who does not want anyone to perish, but to live eternal life, in the knowledge of God.
To think:
It is only Jesus who can fill the hunger and thirst of our soul.
Prayer:
Lord, thank you that you are the bread of life and the living water that has come down from heaven to satisfy our need. Help me to believe in you and know you so I can live the gift of eternal life.
