Matthew 11:20-30
by Andrés Chinchín

“At that time, Jesus answered and said, I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you hid these things from the wise and prudent, and revealed them to little children” (Matthew 11:25).

Having heard the message of Jesus Christ carries a great responsibility. In these verses we see that there were people who, despite witnessing the miracles of Jesus, decided to harden their hearts and ignore the message of salvation, out of love for their sin and their way of living.

Let us pray to God that this is not our response to the message of Jesus, but rather that we be like children who receive the message with joy and with a heart eager to learn and embrace the good news.

To think:

In what area of your life have you hardened your heart, so as not to hear the message of redemption from God?

Take some time to ask God to soften your soul and give you the faith and confidence of a child.

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for coming to this earth and preaching your message. Do not allow my heart to harden, but rather give me faith and confidence to hold on to you and your good news.

Amen
