Matthew 23:27-36
by Andrés Chinchín
“So you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness” (Matthew 23:28).
Sometimes we think that the Christian life is simply a change of actions and words, but in truth this is of no use if there is not first a transformation within the heart.
In these verses, the Pharisees had an appearance of purity, but inside their hearts were corrupt, and that is why they rejected Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
To think about:
The works that arise from a renewed heart are pleasing to God; however, He does not want appearances and invites us to come just as we are.
Prayer:
Lord, create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me.
Amen
