Luke 7:18-35
by Andrés Chinchín

“I tell you that among those born of women there is no greater prophet than John the Baptist, but the least in the kingdom of God is greater than he” (Luke 6:31).

Sometimes, life presents us with countless challenges and difficulties that test our faith and bring doubt into our lives, and this happened to John the Baptist. In his darkest moment, he came to doubt whether Jesus was the Messiah or not; However, Jesus does not condemn him; rather, he comforts him through works and miracles and reminding John of his identity within the kingdom of heaven.

In the same way, in our moments of doubt, God has compassion on us, and affirms the truth of his presence, his power, and his love for us.

To think about:

In what area of your life do you feel doubts about God’s mercy?
Remember that you can approach Him with honesty and confidence, because doubts in the hands of God can become areas of strength and confidence.

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for your presence in my life, and for your infinite patience. Help me to trust you in moments of weakness and strengthen my faith.
Amen
