Revelation 15:1-8
by Andrés Chinchín

“Then I saw a sea like glass mixed with fire. Standing on the seashore were those who had overcome the beast and its image and the number of its name. They had the harps that God had given them” (Revelation 15:2).

These verses of Revelation highlight the sovereignty of God and the obedience of His creatures. In the beginning we see how those who resisted the beast were considered victors, even though they perished under its power [of the beast]. Revelation 15 shows the martyrs safe in the presence of God, in front of the sea of glass.

Likewise, we can see the angels—who emerge from the heavenly temple—submitting to God’s authority as servants and instruments to exercise justice over those who do evil.

This reminds us that the circumstances of our lives do not matter. Those who put their trust in God and live according to His power and will are heirs of victory and will dwell in the eternal dwellings.

To think about:

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You (Isaiah 26:3).

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for Your promises. Keep me in perfect peace, for my trust is in You.

Amen.
