Devotional
Isaiah 40:25-31
by Andrés Chinchín

“But those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).

These verses from Isaiah are part of the Lord’s consolation. God had told them that, because of their sin, they would be taken into exile; however, he also reminds them of his plans for redemption and his power to free them with his strong arm.

This is how, despite the circumstances that surround us, we can always hope in the Lord, because he is the one who gives strength to his people and frees them from all their fears.

To think about:

I waited patiently for the Lord, and he inclined to me and heard my cry (Psalm 40:1)

Prayer:

Thank you, Lord, for your patience and mercy towards us. Help us to trust in you during trials and to know that you will renew our strength during difficult times.

Amen
