Titus 2:11-15
by Andrés Chinchín

“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age” (Titus 2:11-12)

The coming of Christ to this world reminds us of God’s love and compassion toward a fallen world. However, He has not saved us to live a life of defeat, but He sanctifies us day by day through His Word and His sacraments in His holy church. This is how we can live a life of victory and discipline through His grace, which empowers us to achieve what we cannot do by our own strength or reason—Our sanctification.

To think about:

The Lord has saved us, so that we can live godly and sober lives in this world.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank you for your sanctifying power. May your life grow in us, so that your light may shine in the world.

Amen
