Isaiah 49: 8-16
By Andrés Chinchín

“Will the woman forget what she gave birth, to stop sympathizing with the son of her belly? Even if she forgets, I will never forget you” (Isaiah 49:15).

These verses talk about the servant of the Lord, who in the past verses feel distressed, and thinks that the Lord has abandoned him. However, he reminds him of his call, and the blessing he has for his servant, and even when the circumstances seem hopeless, the Lord is soon to help him and have redeemed him in front of everyone’s eyes.

In the same way, in our lives we can feel that the Lord has forgotten us, but it is not so, because in due time, he will be our help and will free us from those who condemn and oppress us.

To think:

The Lord is always attentive to our needs, and never forgets us.

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for your faithfulness and your infinite love. Teach us patiently in you.

Amen.
