Genesis 15:1

“Don’t be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, and your reward will be great” (Genesis 15:1).
In these verses we find father Abraham, after having defeated very powerful kings, afraid or retaliation. It is for that reason that God appears to him and fills him with courage, to move forward.
Sometimes we need to hear the voice of the Lord giving us new strength to continue. Let us remember that Abram did not see much hope for his future, since he did not have any heirs; however, he trusted God’s promise even against all human odds.
To think:
In what area of your life do you need to hear the voice of God giving you encouragement and new strength?
Prayer:
Jesus, thank you for your love and your presence in my life. Give me wisdom to follow you and to believe in you even in difficult times.
