Colossians 3:1-8
by Andrés Chinchín
“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek those things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God” (Colossians 3:1).
This portion of the Bible reminds us that by having been resurrected with Christ we have been united with him, and that everything we do, we do together with Christ. This should encourage us to live in love and fear of God—just as the catechism teaches us—so that we can live a holy life, focusing on things above and putting sin to death by the grace and power of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
To think:
Teach me, Lord, your ways and I will walk in your truth. Give me integrity of heart to fear your name (Psalm 86:11).
Prayer:
Thank you Lord, for your love and infinite grace. Teach me to live in union with you and give me integrity of heart to love and fear your name.
Amen
