Mark 6:14-29
by Andrés Chinchín

“King Herod heard about this, for Jesus’ name had become well known. Some were saying,’John the Baptist has been raised from the dead, and that is why miraculous powers are at work in him’”(Mark 6:14).

When we live in rebellion towards God it is difficult to distinguish who Jesus Christ is. In these verses, King Herod felt mortified for having murdered John the Baptist, and that remorse prevented him from seeing the arrival of the kingdom of heaven in Jesus Christ.

To think:

What is clouding your view of Jesus Christ?

Prayer:

Lord, you have come to bring life and health. Forgive my sins and help me to live in your will so that I can take part in your kingdom.

Amen
