Exodus 34:29-35
By Andrés Chinchín
“When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the Lord” (Exodus 34:29)
Charles Spurgeon wrote that “the face of Moses shone because of the long time he had spent beholding the face of God.” It is interesting to think that he was unaware of its brilliance.
In the Christian life it happens the same way. As we spend time with God, we become more like him and his light shines on us without us realizing it.
To think:
Let God’s light shine on you as you spend time with him so that the world can see his mercies and love.
Prayer:
Thank you, Lord, for your light that shines amidst the world’s darkness. Help me to be an emissary of your name and allow your light to shine through me as I get closer to you.
Amen
