Jonah 4:1-11
by Andrés Chinchín
“And should I not have concern for the great city of Nineveh, in which there are more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left—and also many animals?” (Jonah 4:11)
It is easy to complain about the things that happen in this life and forget how good God has been to us. Despite the kindness that God had shown the prophet Jonah, his heart was still bitter and resentful toward the people of Nineveh and he desired their destruction.
To think:
What are the things that make your heart bitter and do not allow you to enjoy God’s blessing.
Prayer:
Dear heavenly father. You are good and full of mercy. Purify my heart and do not allow it to become bitter or corrupted by the lies of the enemy and lack of forgiveness. Help me to live a life of gratitude, obedience and service to you.
Amen
